This is a Christmas present for my granddaughter who loves music boxes. This looks like a fun gift for her to put together and enjoy.

Great fun!
Highly recommend! This kept my nine year old busy for quite a long time while assembling it. He really loved it to play with after as well. I will definitely buy more of these kits in the future!

More of an engineering lesson
This was good for my 4 year old daughter to help me and learn what gears are and how they work with each other. This was a great engineering lesson for my daughter and provided us with two hours of quality fun learning time together. However, it sounds pretty terrible, but it does play. It is a really cool concept. We created our own song that wasn't in the manual. It had enough spots to put in "You are my sunshine." It's a good project for a kid's brain. But they won't play with it much after you make it, lol. What I would like to do is eventually sink at least $500 into a real music machine from Germany, or at least some good CD's of real music machine music... This is a pretty cool project, and I have no regrets buying it. It sits proudly in the living room.
