Targeted to 1st grade readers, Bob Books offers
multiple, brief, focused readers to introduce and improve reading skills. Bob
Books Set 5 works on long vowel words and the magical silent ‘e’ through 8
books in this set. Each book is between 16-24 pages and contains single-color
pencil illustrations that accompany the text but do not give away the story.
Students will learn to read independently and will be excited to dive into
chapter books next. Each box set includes a postcard to the parents with hints
for teaching your child to read and to love reading.
Bob Books are just the right size for small hands! The text is simple and charming with line-drawings on each page. The covers and boxes are printed with a single, bright color, and illustrations "pop" with small splashes of that same color. Five basic sets in all. Sets 1 and 2 are for beginning readers and feature consistent sounds and short vowels in three-letter words; Sets 3 and 4 include blends, endings, and occasional sight words. Set 5 has long vowel words, compound words, sight words, and longer stories.
