A nice way to learn as a family
Shipped quickly, black and white inside, but easy to read to the kids and learn together.

Good
Thin book that teaches Spanish in story form. Good for kids who like stories, but the down side is that not many words get taught/learned. The pages have a little bit of writing the kids can do. I recommend getting "Fun Spanish" for more extensive Spanish learning.

Great Value!
I discovered these little books in my search for a low cost method of learning conversational Spanish. They are a great supplement to an online or traditional Spanish program. They would even be fun and informative for someone with a casual interest in learning some Spanish words and conversation skills.

My children and I were able to write simple sentences in Spanish by the third lesson of Book 1! The book is divided into twenty two short lessons Each lesson starts with a one page short story about the Johnson family The next page has four to ten fill in the blank questions The answers can be copied right from the story My children were excited that they could write sentences in Spanish and understand it I did not need to prepare anything ahead of time We just read the few simple paragraphs of story and answered the questions together We could complete each lesson in ten minutes The reading is at about a third grade level but it is not too childish for middle school children I have looked over several other Spanish workbooks I like this one because it is so simple to use with great results The workbooks are also inexpensive Even though the book explains the proper Spanish pronunciations I check out Spanish language videos from the library so that my children can hear what Spanish is supposed to sound like! I think this is a good introduction to Spanish

Why did you choose this?

We want to try a new and versatile Spanish program, and it is inexpensive.

I like the black and white pictures (that means kids can color them), has page numbers in spanish, and it’s in story form.

I am using this series with a small group of 8th/9th graders who are just beginning to study Spanish. The story is a simple way to help them begin learning, writing, and speaking useful, everyday…

I am needing to find a Spanish workbook to further learning for a homeschool class I'm teaching for Elementary Spanish speakers.
