Towards the end of the VietNam war, orphans were airlifted out and adopted by parents in the US and Canada. This is the story of one orphan, Tuyet. She was affected by polio at an early age, spent many years at an orphanage, was adopted into a lovely family, and went through major surgery on her leg. I thought the author was sensitive to the reader in that descriptions of horrible events are not too graphic. And yes, I did read the whole book! What a captivating story. ~Sara
