Description
Writing With Ease allows students to practice writing skills while reading classic children’s literature. In this revised edition, the instructions for the parent are separate from the student pages. A fifth day has been added to include an optional creative writing assignment. In this level, students begin to make connections with their thoughts and writing process in a significant way. This guide includes detailed lesson plans, along with copywork and narration excerpts for each lesson with background information and comprehension questions (with possible answers). ~ Gina
Category Description for The Complete Writer: Writing with Ease
The Complete Writer: Writing With Ease provides easy-to-use materials for teaching young students how to form thoughts and develop written communication. Considered a companion to the Well-Trained Mind’s First Language Lessons, it also would work alongside other grammar-based language arts programs. At the heart of the program is the one-on-one instruction. From copywork and dictation (putting words on paper) to narration (verbalizing ideas), students ultimately combine these skills in Year 3 and the optional Year 4. There are two options for teaching the course:
- Option 2: Complete Workbooks for Levels 1-3 (with teaching information and reproducible student pages)
The Text meets the need of families who prefer to create individualized daily lessons following the model given. It provides a program overview of all levels with a week of detailed lesson plans followed by a general scope and sequence for the remainder of each level.
