Answer key
The theme units were chosen to represent common experiences of children in fifth grade, along with general grade-level words. These topics may relate to other subjects you are teaching and could augment other lessons. For example, Helping Others could be used with an SEL lesson focusing on developing empathy. Seeing the World could be used with a social studies lesson. Mother Nature Rules! and Wildlife could extend a science lesson about weather or animal habitats. Friendly Competition could be used when students must spend recess inside on a rainy day.
The
units in each book were chosen to represent common experiences of children and
grade level words. Each workbook begins with the Spelling word list of over 600
words.
You
can use an entire unit from the themed section that focuses on a particular
skill with practice worksheets, games, and hands-on centers. The extra practice
pages use the words from Evan-Moor’s
Building Spelling Skills series and can be used to enrich those lessons
or can be used on its own. The answer key for activities is in the back of the
book. Photocopying the pages in this book is permitted for single classroom use
only. Making photocopies for additional classes or schools is prohibited. Softcover,
176 perforated pages. ~Amber
