Description
Publisher's Description of Abraham : God's Brave Explorer (Genesis 11-25)

This exciting addition to Kay Arthur and Janna Arndt’s Discover 4 Yourself® Inductive Bible Studies for Kids series takes readers and characters Max, Molly, and Sam along the rugged Oregon Trail. With God’s trail map, the Bible, they set out on a wagon train to discover the lessons Abraham learned when he left his home and moved to an unknown land because God told him to. As they explore the new territory they face the excitement, fears, and blessings of walking by faith.

Perfect for Sunday school classes, Bible studies, and independent study, Abraham—God’s Brave Explorer teaches young kids all about listening to God and trusting His guidance even when the path gets bumpy.

From the same author as the adult version with similar titles. Students begin by joining Molly and Max, partner detectives who help to solve the mysteries. First kids learn the skills needed for studying God's Word - observation, interpretation, and application. Activities in the first week help the child to learn what kind of questions to ask. Each subsequent chapter tackles various week-long adventures, each highlighting a different passage, message, meaning or truth. After finishing the first guide (How to Study Your Bible for Kids) other study guides are available to focus on various topics or themes. Every adventure is packed with lots of questions, puzzles, & activities.

My 8 yr old dd and I have completed several of Kay Arthur's inductive Bible studies for kids My daughter and I both learned so much together If you have done an inductive bible study before you know they take a bit of time and work but it really teaches the kids the skills they need to study the bible for themselves Each lesson contains a passage to study as well as fill in the blank questions and activities about what was just read and how it applies to us today They are perfect to do together for younger elementary An older elementary could do these themselves ( I even think middle schoolers would get a lot out of these if they haven't ever done a study that's a little more systematic) If you have more than one child doing the study they could share but if you can afford it it would be nice for them to have their own book to do the puzzles and write in the answers
