The Math-U-See Epsilon Instruction Manual is necessary to teach the Math-U-See Epsilon curriculum. Along with the curriculum sequence and introductory “how-to-use” information that outlines the MUS four-step teaching process, the Instruction Manual includes teaching instruction with example problems, problem and test solutions, a glossary, and an index. Parents will appreciate the clear and approachable instruction that is easy to implement at home. Also required are the instructional lesson videos, Epsilon Student Workbook and Tests, and the Fraction Overlay Kit. Instructional Videos are available in two formats: Math-U-See Epsilon Online Instruction with Video (streaming) or in a DVD format. The Epsilon Instruction Manual is also available in the Math-U-See Epsilon Set, which includes the Student Workbook and Tests, Online Instruction with Video, and the Fraction Overlay Kit.

Enjoy learning fractions and concepts like generating equivalent fractions, recognizing common factors, and fluently adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions with confidence.

The Math-U-See Epsilon Instruction Manual is ideal for instructors who already own the Fraction Overlay Kit, have access to the instruction videos, and whose students have all the necessary student materials including the Student Workbook and Tests Booklet.

Mastery of fractions including equivalent fractions and basic operations with fractions becoming fluent with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions and mixed numbers. Also includes common factors, grouping symbols and order of operations, comparing and converting decimal fractions, area and circumference of a circle, classifying quadrilaterals, fractional measurements on line plots and number lines, and using coordinates to represent ordered relationships.

Lessons follow a similar format – watch the DVD lesson (parent then child/parent together), work through lesson examples in the instruction manual together, and complete worksheets. Lessons conclude with a test. Cumulative unit tests are scheduled regularly to assure students retain previous teaching. A final test over all concepts taught concludes the course.
