Description

Little hands and learning minds will be excited to engage with these seven card & dice games. You will notice how the littlest of students begin to recognize numbers, patterns, order, and basic addition and subtraction principles. The dice are nice and large for little hands to grab easily, number lines and mats are laminated for durability, and the cards come in a little box of their own. Both teacher and student are equipped to work on these early numbers and math skills through short games. The Math Minibooks are reproducible mini workbooks for students to use and collect as they progress through their skills. ~Rebecca

Publisher's Description of Games With Cards & Dice Family Kit
Children love playing games where they get to arrange cards and roll dice, and many of the games in this kit have both. The Count and See Cards included in this kit have both the numeral and the dice pattern printed on them which encourages children to associate the written numeral on the card with the quantity of dots in the dice pattern. Through their use, children practice putting the cards in order and learning that 4 comes after 3 and before 5, helping them to build a strong understanding of the number sequence. In later games, children can roll two dice and add them together to turn over cards, building their early understanding of number operations such as addition and subtraction.

Includes Teacher Guide, Math Minibook and all the materials needed to play. Teacher Guide provides an overview of the research behind the games along with easy-to-follow directions to each game and QR codes that link to videos about how to play each game as well as the mathematical concepts covered. The Math Minibook complements the games with short stories and play-along activities that teachers or families can read and color with the children.
