In the year 1900, Paris was flourishing! The attention of the world turned to the
Paris Universal Exposition with almost every country participating across
thousands of exhibits featuring new marvels in technology, from electric cars
to escalators and Ferris wheels. Despite all of this excitement, crime still
reared its ugly head. As a direct descendent of Abelard Lavel, who fought crime
in the 1400 edition of the Chronicles of Crime Millenium Series, Victor Lavel
continues the family tradition working as a journalist who continues to visit
crime scenes, search for evidence, question suspects, and try to solve crimes while
writing headlining stories for Les Nouvelle de Paris.
Using the same mobile device app as in the previous
Chronicles of Crime games, continue your adventures with this series of
wonderful solo or cooperative logic deduction journeys with a tutorial and four
new scenarios. I really enjoyed the challenge of playing through these games
solo. Sadly, I failed at the tutorial but hope to continue developing my
sleuthing skills and play cooperatively with a more astute partner! For 1-4
players with 60-minute playtime per case. ~ Marsha
Publisher's Description of Chronicles of Crime: 1900
Lead an intrepid journalist on their quest to solve the crimes of 1900s Paris!
Chronicles of Crime and its Millenium Series (Chronicles of
Crime 1400, 1900, and 2400) form a group of cooperative or solo deduction games
that use a phone or tablet app together with the board game to present
different crime scenarios and give players all the tools needed to solve them.
The board game aspects include Evidence Boards and Cards, Suspects, Forensic
Contacts, and Crime Scene Locations that are all scannable by the app. The app
provides feedback, stories and dialogues needed to follow and assemble clues
from the crime scene locations, suspects, forensic contacts, and evidence for
assembling a logical deduction tree to help solve the crime. The scenarios can be played more than once if
you want to obtain a better score on any of them or play them anew with a different
group of people.
