This series of picture books address the important questions kids often have, but may be afraid to ask. With a gentle frankness, author Carolyn Nystrom provides answers that convey the basics of Christian doctrine in a way that is simple, yet not childish. Kids will identify with the characters in the books - children like themselves, exploring concepts such as creation, the fall of man and the effects of sin, salvation, obedience, repentance, forgiveness, death, resurrection and life after death. I really appreciated the soft illustrations in this series, as well as the simple paraphrasing of scripture throughout. The scripture references are listed right in the text, giving you the option of transitioning from story time into a devotional by reading the scriptures from the translation of your choice.
