Great looking projects
These projects look fun to do. I will be using them with Winter Promise's Royals and Revolutions program. The projects include a newspaper, lapbook, scrapbook (notebook), projects, artwork and timeline. The artwork is excellent. Answers are given for the teacher. The instructions are clear and usually have illustrations or photos.

Right For Some/ Not For Us
We had been using Story of the World and though I love how it is written, the information just wasn't sticking with my daughter--too much was covered lightly and we weren't doing projects with every section. That is what drew me to Project Passport--more projects, more in-depth coverage of less. However, my impression of Project Passport hasn't been favorable so far. What I've found is that it's light on the instruction, while heavy on the printing and busy work. Granted, you can pick and choose which projects you want to do, but I found that I printed out a slew of things that turned out to be busy work, which I would not use for my daughter (who is 7th grade and beyond cutting and pasting) before realizing. I hate wasting paper and my printer's ink, since we use so much already. I would like PP much better if it had less printing prep work or at least clearer instructions of what printing goes with what project. You also need to fill in with a lot of other sources of information because the coverage isn't actually in-depth. I will keep trying to use bits of it, but it's definitely not what I'd hoped. We got more out of last year's history when I was winging it and putting together my own curriculum and projects.

Why did you choose this?

I have used Homeschool in the Woods in the past and want to continue. A mom asked me to do this study with her children along with mine this coming year.
