Students study the Old Testament in chronological
order from Genesis to Ruth. Bible characters studied included Adam and Eve,
Noah, Job, Abraham and Sarah, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Gideon,
and Samson. Students also read about how God called His people to the Promised
land and the rebellion and repentance of the people. On Day 1, students read
the lesson; Day 2, students read a Bible passage and answer questions; Day 3,
students complete an activity; Day 4 includes an exercise (covering background
material, map study, answering questions, etc.); Day 5 is review and quiz time.
Students read about one chapter of the Bible per week. The answer key and quiz
packet are available separately. Questions in the workbook use the NKJV

student encounter the biblical text firsthand over a 36-week period. The
goal of this curriculum is to go beyond the stories of he Bible and to
have students read the Bible itself.
Preparing God's People covers events in the Bible from
Creation up through Ruth and Boaz in a chronological order. Students
will learn about leading figures, including: Adam and Eve, Noah, Job,
Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Deborah, Samson, and Ruth. They will also
learn how God called His people to the Promised Land and how His people
wavered between disobeying God’s commands and repenting for their
rebellion.

is newly revised and now includes a 36-week schedule with weekly lessons.
Students study the Old Testament from Genesis to Ruth using the NKJV
translation. The complete program includes a student worktext, quiz packet, and
answer key (each sold separately).
