Logic Safari Book 1
Teachers love these puzzles because of their ease of use in multicurricular parallels and their effortlessness in fitting into pullout programs of limited duration. Each motivating puzzle includes an introduction with student-related topics, clues, a grid, and an illustration. The goal in Logic Safari is to hunt down the clues, sort, analyze, and combine them into the correct solution. Each book represents an ever-increasing challenge to students while scenarios remain fresh, evoking renewed eagerness. The size of the grids is an indication of difficulty.
These deductive reasoning books from Dandy Lion require the student to use the clues to figure out who does what in each scenario. For example, Tom, Tim and Tinney are celebrating their birthdays. Your challenge is to figure out from the clues who celebrates by going to the skating rink, which one takes his birthday to the golf course, and who goes to the pizza parlor. Grids are given to help you easily analyze the clues and figure out the correct solution. There are 29 lessons with answers included. Books 2 and 3 progress in difficulty. ~ Genevieve
Looking for something to help my children to practice logic skills
Grew up with these problems and they have impacted my reasoning skills. It frightens me that most people do not think in this way today.
Needed a next series after Lollipop Logic. LL was simple for my 5/6 year old granddaughter. This looks like a good next step.
