The information blurb for the MCP readers suggests going all the way through set A followed by set B and C I do not think this is the most effective way of using these readers I go across the sets for each letter sound or blend That way the children get to read six short A books six short I books etc I suggest that parents to buy series A and B and use them together only purchasing set C if their child needs six books on each sound Series C is not as good However some children definitely need all six books on each sound I find these readers very effective and thorough I have used them for children of various ages and abilities I've also used these readers with refugees as a start toward learning English
