Phonetic concepts introduced and reviewed in Workbook 4 are consonant blends, including digraphs (sh, ch, wh, th, tch, -ng, -nk); r-controlled vowels (ar, or, er, ir, ur); and consonant + ie. The illustrations are black and white with large, printed words. Sc, 80 consumable pages.

Use with Primary Phonics 4 Set of 10 Storybooks (decodable readers) to provide an opportunity for students to read in context. This solid phonics program is further enhanced with the inclusion of the Teacher’s Guide 4-5-6.

Publisher's Description of Primary Phonics Workbook 4

Workbook 4 follows the same format as the preceding workbooks. It introduces consonant digraphs and words with a vowel followed by the letter r. Once students have completed Workbook 4, they should be able to read, write, and spell simple words.

Also available: Storybooks 4 are decodable stories that allow students to apply the skills taught in Workbook 4 to connected text.

Used the first two workbooks in this series with very pleasant results. Love these.

I have been using these workbooks for 12 years for homeschooling my six children. They are great little lessons.

This is part of our homeschool phonics program. I love this program. It has a logical sequence, gives kids plenty of practice, and isn't overwhelming at all.
