Category Description for 180 Days of Phonics

Reinforce phonics skills with 180 Days of Phonics! Providing lots of varied activity pages, each workbook is divided into several units that focus on different concepts, starting simple and then moving to more complex topics. Units follow the same format. An overview page explains the phonics concepts covered in the unit, followed by one practice page for every weekday. Practice pages help students apply phonics to a wide range of words. Grades PK and K spend four to six weeks on each unit, while grades 1 and 2 spend one week on each unit. “Try This! Activities” are included throughout the books for hands-on tasks. Grade PK introduces children to letter and sound recognition and basic word formation. Grade K covers consonant letters, short and long vowels, and some short vowel words. Grades 1 and 2 cover blends, digraphs, silent letters, diphthongs, and more advanced phonics. A page at the back of each book has instructions to download resources that provide additional support, including standards correlations, analysis sheets, and a rubric to track your student’s progress. Answers to the workbook pages are also included. Reproducible for classroom use only. ~ Gina
