helpful
Interesting and helpful for understanding the culture at the time of the ancients. My 8- and 10-year-olds enjoyed this book. I use Mystery of History for a spine and then I read-aloud a dozen books that correspond with some of the topics we are learning. I don't try to find a living book for every lesson, but rather use the best (or most age-appropriate) living books I have found that touch on the time period being studied.

Why did you choose this?

This came highly recommended but several homeschool mamas so I'm trying it out as a read aloud to my elementary aged kids.

For literature class I use novels that correspond with what my children are studying in history.

Amazon wants a fortune.
