180 Days of Cursive: Advanced

This writing program provides foundational skills needed to become successful at penmanship. This standards-based resource has simple instructions, introduces basic forms and techniques for handwriting, and includes answers for parents to assess progress and identify areas for improvement. When new letters are introduced, a star indicates the starting point followed by dotted lines to guide the pencil in forming correct letters. There are 180 lessons, one for every day of the school year. Exercises are in 5-day groups and provide for 36 weeks of work. Simple instructions are at the bottom of each daily worksheet. The Appendix in the back of the workbook includes uppercase, lowercase, and number guides, answer key, and digital download instructions. Digital resources provide more hands-on practice for writing uppercase and lowercase letters, sentence-writing practice, and handwriting lines for printing activities.

Levels are as follows:

• 180 Days of Printing Beginning – Grades PK-K
• 180 Days of Printing Advanced – Grades 1-2
• 180 Days of Cursive Beginning – Grades 2-3
• 180 Days of Cursive Advanced – Grades 4-6

A week is broken down into daily steps.

• Day 1 – Directionality and strokes – students learn how a letter should be created.
• Day 2 – Lowercase letters are introduced and practiced.
• Day 3 – Uppercase letters are introduced.
• Day 4 – Activity that focuses on developing fine motor skills.
• Day 5 – Review and repetition of letters learned that week and prior weeks.

Workbooks include 200 consumable pages.
