Capture your child's attention with fun, brightly illustrated worksheets in the Calvert Clubhouse: The Biggest Book of Math Practice for 2nd Grade from Calvert Publications. This 320-page workbook reinforces math concepts learned in 2nd grade by practicing number skills to 1,000. Addition practice includes three-digit numbers with carry and subtraction. Multiplication is introduced and basic facts 0-10 are practiced. Children are also introduced to skills such as multiplying money; reading a Fahrenheit thermometer; determining liquid measure equivalents; reading graphs and maps; linear equivalents; English and metric measurements; geometric figures; and solving word problems. Your student will be sure to get all the practice they need to advance them in their new favorite subject.
The goal of the Calvert Math Practice series is to provide a parent/teacher with tools that will help them guide their student to effectively develop math skills and increase achievement. Instructors can use this workbook series to provide supplemental practice or enrichment assignments for students to any other math program. In this way, the workbook assignments could be used as a drill or student-paced activity. Alternatively, the workbooks can also help a student who struggled in a math course or needs to go back to review a certain skill. Students can build their math skills before moving on to the concepts covered in the next grade or level unit. There are 160 total lessons in each workbook. Every lesson starts with a short activity section to introduce a new concept. The concept is then practiced and reviewed for the next several lessons. Answers for the activities are listed in the back of the workbook. These books are nonreproducible. ~Amber
