My children love this book
We are on our second trip through this book. My children love the stories. I would have thought they would have preferred a book with pictures illustrating every story, but no, they like the writing style of this one better. There is a picture for perhaps every third story, but the huge advantage this book has is that it is so thorough. So many stories! The only difference between the hardcover and softcover editions is the hardcover version has comprehension questions and answers at the back. However, these are extremely basic recall questions and entirely unnecessary. The softcover book is easier to hold (it's a thick book!) and cheaper, so I recommend this one.

Egermeiers Bible Story Book is the very best childrens Bible I have seen (and I have a shelf full of others at home and also at church!) It truly summarizes the entire Bible instead of picking out stories here and there We took a year to read through this book and now my daughters have been exposed in a meaningful way to every single story in the Bible It doesnt change or omit important parts of stories just to make them child-friendly Instead it abridges the stories and changes them into understandable language without dumbing them down After reading the account of Daniel in the lions den in Egermeiers Bible Story Book my 6-year-old felt pretty upset that other childrens versions of that story omitted some very important details! Id say it is best for children about age 5 and older because of the length of the stories though it would still be excellent for younger children who enjoy story time and definitely good for older children as well Stories are meant either as read-alouds for younger children or very good readers could read this to themselves It is written in smaller print as an adult book would be and stories are about a page and a half long with one illustration for every few stories I love it!

Why did you choose this?
Have read good reviews that this book is biblically accurate, which is a problem I find in many children's story book bibles.
To read aloud to my older kids.
My niece has the book and was so impressed that I deceided to order.
