Unveiling Islam

The Caner brothers (Ergun and Emir), both Christian converts from Islam, suffered the painful rejection of their father, who saw their change of heart as a rejection of Allah for which they could not be forgiven. Twenty-two years later, as he lay dying of cancer, the authors were once again face-to-face with the man who was their hero, and his last wish was for each of them to read the Qur'ran in its entirety, hoping they might find their way back to the beliefs he had raised them to hold. Their book, subtitled An Insider's Look At Muslim Life and Beliefs, instructs the reader on the major facets of this all-encompassing way of life extending beyond the mosque deep into the very institutions of the government wherever possible. In many ways, Islam has always been more cultural than spiritual in nature. In order to effectively witness to Muslims, it's necessary to understand this culture so that we do not offend them and close the door.
