Klutz Book of Paper Airplanes
A few years ago, I didn't even know there were books that taught how to make paper airplanes. Then I came across one somewhere and was amazed that the world of paper airplane flying was so large that books and kits were being produced to support people in their hobby - and to encourage new fliers. Then this book ends up on my desk, and it is by far the coolest paper airplane book I've seen yet. Designs and detailed instructions for ten (10) paper airplanes are the core of the book, with some basic start-up information for the newcomers, details on folding good folds and tweaking the right spots, learning to fly, different types of paper airplanes, the theory of flight, and troubleshooting ensuring every paper airplane enthusiast gets the right start they need. There is a table on the inside front cover comparing the type, time aloft, distance, flight speed, launch speed, folds, fly zone, and difficulty for each plane in this book. The step-by-step instructions are in full color, are very clear, and include instructions for a number of games that can be played with the airplanes. As a special bonus, the book comes with 40 sheets of flight-ready paper - in 20 different, full color designs. Kids will love this set. ~ Zach
