Description

Many customers have asked us for an italic handwriting book for an older child or for themselves. By the same publisher as the Italic Handwriting series sold above, this is a one-book, self-teaching course for use by middle schoolers through adults. The 96-page workbook proceeds step-by-step and includes tips and techniques adjacent to the examples to be copied. It actually compresses the full instruction in italic books A-G, beginning with basic italic, learning joins, and progressing to cursive italic. The book finishes up with a special section on calligraphy, introducing the nibbed fountain pen and artistic lettering.

Why did you choose this?

Considering shifting to italics cursive from Zaner-Bloser. Planning to try out myself and then see if we want to pursue this option for third grader.

My high schooler would like to improve her penmanship.

This is a consumable. My older son liked it. Now my next 9th grader needs one. Helps with self-directed handwriting improvement.

I have an older student who is struggling with writing neatly.

I ordered Book D for myself; the lines/letter size was much larger than I expected. Does this book have lines/letter sizes more in keeping with standar lined notebook paper?

Yes, I loved this book. It was good for both me and my high schooler. The lines are much smaller and more what an adult is used to. This book improved my handwriting a lot!
