    Summer practice
I've been teaching for nearly 52 years, teaching students and teaching teachers how to teach literacy skills. I purchased these materials as follow-up to what my grandson's school uses. In many ways, they are like other materials, providing practice and models. There is, for me and my colleagues, a particular lack, however. That is the very important inclusion of the practice of beginning all lower case cursive letters ON THE LINE. This eliminates any confusion our young learners have regarding where to begin a letter. They all begin in the same place. So, I add those beginning lines to every lesson.

    One page per school day
I love everything HWOT! Use their YouTube videos for guidance. So good! Resist the urge to let kids do more than one page a day.

    Wonderful curriculum
We love all the Handwriting Without Tears workbooks. While I worked extensively with handwriting in the early years, they have been able to work independently on learning cursive themselves.

    Great cursive reinforcement!
My daughter was driven and determined to learn to write in cursive. After finishing the HWT Cursive Handwriting book within the first few months of our academic year, I bought this for reinforcement of what she has learned. She feels very comfortable writing in cursive now.

    Great resource
I like the cursive style and the book is easy to follow with good visuals to help remember the lessons.1-2 pages a day is enough to practice without feeling overwhelmed (especially for my reluctant writer).
