Place one of the 10 design cards under the 10.5 x 10.5" transparent base, then use the screwdriver, wrench, or drill to "build" the design by placing the colored screws in the appropriate spaces. With 120 screws, and a 10x10 array of holes, children can design robots, hearts, helicopters, and an infinite number of their own patterns. Drill requires 3 AA batteries, not included. - Laura
With the Design & Drill See-Through Creative Workshop, little builders can use kid-friendly tools to drill colorful bolts into the see-through base to create super cool translucent designs.
The Nitty Gritty:
The Design and Drill Sets fulfill child development and education needs while inspiring imagination and creativity. After all, what child doesn't desire to build beautiful patterns, and use tools like a "grown up"? Fundamental fine motor skills will get a workout using the bolts, tools, and accessories in each set. Some sets function with a child-size power drill, complete with forward and reverse mode! Others have a child size screwdriver or just require little fingers to do the work. When the kiddo has completed the suggested designs, they can use their creativity and come up with their own supporting STEM learning. Power tools require 3 AAA batteries, which are not included. Each set includes a playboard or an item to assemble, colorful bolts and/or accessories in a variety of colors and in some cases a tool (type varies by set).
