Solid, step-by-step instruction
We love the Key To series. The Algebra books are very straightforward, methodical approach to the topic. This book is no exception. Small basic steps with plenty of practice! And having a separate answer book makes it easier to grade. Only criticism I would have if it would sometimes be nice to have a little bit more workspace.

Excellent books
I'm using this set for Pre-Algebra for my 7th and 8th graders. It provides a simple, clear, and not-overwhelming introduction to Algebra.
