I LOVE STREAMS!!! My Father's World used Volume I for Creation to Greeks & Rome to Reformation then that was it. They don't even use it in the high school years. I was so impressed that I wanted to implement it for our 6th grade year which it's proving difficult to align it with our studies. I feel Volume II is more governmental especially after Chapter 5. We are going to use it this year to Chapter 5 then shelve it & see where it fits next year, so forth & so forth until it is done in its entirety. Truly a must have/must do

Updated and informative.
I had been using the 2nd edition for the past 8 years, and wasnt looking to purchase another. But this text has been beautifully updated and very informative, with colorful photos and a preferable layout to the previous editions. The comprehension questions, project ideas and word lists at the end of each chapter are very helpful. It serves well as a stand alone text, or can be a valuable reference aid with other curriculums.

Very detailed!
This is a HUGE book with writing that is a bit hard to see. It's great because it's in color with some pictures and it explains probably EVERYTHING you need to know but it is A LOT of reading. I can't see finishing this book in one school year. Plan on two years for sure.
