Join them as they battle unscrupulous slave owners, flee from Mexican bandits and search for hidden pirate treasure on an ancient Mayan island. If you're looking for ‘must listen to' audio drama, Season Two of The Brinkman Adventures more than delivers!
As a family who
grew up on Adventures in Odyssey and Jonathan Park, I had high expectations of
this new audio series, and I was not disappointed! Edge of your seat
adventures, well-told stories, a little humor, and a whole lot of God's love
come together to engage and captivate listeners of all ages. Each season weaves
together true events from the lives of missionaries and other heroes, and
fictional stories about the Brinkman family. Exciting, edge of your seat
adventures teaches children about evangelism, trusting God, humility,
obedience, prayer, the importance of the body of Christ and many other truths
of the Christian life. A wonderful resource to strengthen essential Christian
beliefs in a fresh and exciting way for older elementary children and adults!
Seasons 1-4 contain 4 CDs with 12 episodes (for 5+ hours of listening!) while
Seasons 5-9 contain 2 CDs with 6 episodes (2+ hours of listening!). ~Deanne
My kids love this series. There are a few ones that could be troubling to listen to especially for a younger audience but my younger kids didnt seem bothered by it. Maybe the idea of forced child labor was above their comprehension. The announcers warn you ahead of time of the adventure when it is more troubling. It has been a good way for my children to be introduced to all sorts of different types of missions around the world and ways to pray for missionaries.Since the stories are based on true stories it is a good way to really to see how God works through believers.
