Wild Cards (Edible Plant Deck)
While this is a deck of cards, I think the pun refers to the subject of the deck: edible wild foods (plants). It is a regular playing card deck also, with 52 common wild edible food plants and their uses, created by Linda Runyon, based on her book, Wild Foods Guide Book. More than a mere card deck, it is intended to be used as an educational tool. The cards contain material that could be invaluable in a survival situation, when a knowledge of edible wild plants could be life saving. Included on an instruction card are the Rules of Foraging, for safety in the identification and consumption of wild plants. Hints give you further advice on their safe harvest and use. Each playing card has a photograph of the plant, a black and white representation highlighting certain features, and a range map revealing habitat. Beside the expected number and suit, the face of the card has information about the plant including its scientific name, other common names, the part that is edible, characteristics, uses, and hints for use. What a dual-purpose find! Take it along on your next camping trip to stave off boredom (or hunger!). Ideal for hikers, campers, survivalists, and gourmet cooks. Cards are hole-punched and come with a durable plastic ring to hold the deck together.

I believe this will make a great gift for my niece and sister. I have this set of cards from years back and is fun to see what grows wild and is editable.
