Enjoyable stories
My kindergartener loves this book. She really enjoys the sweet stories and even though the family is Amish, she can relate to many of the experiences of the characters. I like that there are short chapters that she can read out loud over the course of a week. With this book she has started reading longer, multi syllable words. I also appreciate that there are not many pictures to distract her from reading the stories.

Great for the struggling reader
My 8 year old son really enjoys this series of books. He likes the stories and feels like he is reading "big" books instead of "baby" readers. We have 3 boys (all struggling readers) and have been homeschooling for 9 years. These are by far our favorite readers. The workbook is also very easy to use. They are very cost effective as well compared to other phonics programs. I love the simplicity of it. The stories all typically have good messages as well. We have great conversations after each story is read. 5 stars!

The Pathway Readers have been the best books on my daughters journey to reading. The characters and scenes and plots are very real and easy for young minds to understand! We love this series!

Love these books
Awesome, wholesome books. Great beginning chapter books, love by grade level. I would relate maybe not this particular book, but the 1st grade ones. They were instrumental to get over the hump to chapter book reading level, similar to bob books getting us ready for level 1 library books.

Excellent Pathway Reader Books
My children & I love all the books by Pathway Readers. We just finished reading Busy Times & are fixing to start More Busy Times next week. My children want to keep reading just to find out what it is going to happen next. These books are very exciting and the stories build from one book to the next. They helped me teach my 8 year old and my 7 year old how to read. My 4 year old is reading the first chapter of First Steps and my 2 year old picks up the books and is showing interest as well. I wouldn't use any other books. These books really deliver. I would recommend these books to anybody. They are the best.

I have been using these books with my two daughters We did 100 Easy Lessons and then I learned that these books were a good sequel and start to reading So after we finished 100 Easy Lessons we started these books and got hooked! They are great Children are truly interested in the stories want to read them I am using them at our homeschooling co-op and other parents are now using them too because they see a complete program that is great and not expensive We have been blessed in many ways The stories are good examples for children on how they should conduct themselves in everyday situations They are great too because the stories in More Busy Times so far have been about the same family

These readers are amazing My daughter is interested in reading them and she is now reading fluently The stories are interesting and there are new words listed at the bottom of each page so that you can discuss them before a child tries to read them Also the companion workbook is great It reinforces spelling skills as well as reading comprehension This is an extremely well done set and I expect us to continue using it up through the last one
