Writing a State Report
This reproducible book contains worksheets that assist students in researching and writing state reports. The first part of the book focuses on researching the state, with information on internet research, using the library, making note cards, and quotations versus paraphrasing. The next part of the book focuses on writing the state report, with worksheets that students can use to fill in with information about their state. Some of the worksheets include Statehood History, Physical Features, Political Features, Famous People, and Government. Budding artists will enjoy drawing state flags, seals, and symbols on the appropriate pages. Other worksheets include Population Growth and Density (requiring graphing), Visitor's Guide (to list places worth visiting in the state), Bibliography (to list sources used in the report), and a list of additional hands-on project ideas. These are just a few of the versatile worksheets found within this handy resource, and as they are not state specific, they can be easily re-used. 48 pgs, pb. ~ Lisa
moved to a new state and wanted an easy way to have my kids learn about it. Also i chose this one because it teaches how to make note cards and properly site information.
We are ordering this book to guide our children on how to write, what to write, and why to write a state report.
I needed this to complete my MFW Exploration to 1850 set.
It is listed as part of the curriculum for MFW Exploration to 1850. I have most of the books needed, but had to locate a few items such as this.
