Beast Academy provides a fun, rigorous, challenging, complete curriculum for aspiring math beasts. Level 5A includes chapters on 3D solids, integers, and expressions & equations.
The guide is written in an engaging comic book style, and the practice book (sold separately) provides over 500 problems ranging from introductory level exercises to very challenging puzzles and word problems.
Beast Academy 5A covers the following topics:
3D Solids: Classifying solids, nets, surface area, and volume.
Integers: Multiplication, long products, division, exponents, and opposites (negation).
Expressions & Equations: Notation, like terms, simplifying expressions, and solving multi-step equations.
These comic books are great for my kids to read as a supplement to their regular curriculum (Saxon). They are fun and educational, but not a replacement for the drills they need!
