It’s up to you.
This is helpful for things you may not understand. This is more for a classroom setting however I like the layout of this book.

FABULOUS SUPRISE
I only purchased this program because the co-op we are involved in requires me to teach literature. I was astonished at how much we love this curriculum. It is designed for short lessons every day which suits my child's attention span. It involves so many grammar exercises that are different from one another. It's NEVER boring and I see improvement already. I just wish I had known about Learning Language Arts Through Literature when I was teaching 1st grade. EXCELLENT CURRICULUM!

Good overall
We have only used it for one week so far. We like the way it teaches Language Arts, although we use All About Spelling for spelling. I took away a star because it seems like (although keep in mind it’s only been a week) they could have just made one student book and incorporated teacher instruction/ info into that book. It’s kind of redundant and the extra book just takes up space. Also, I think a little color in the student book could jazz it up a little, but maybe they don’t do that anymore in third grade.
