Amber has always wanted to be able to read; however, there isn't a school way up on the mountainside. With a lot of determination and hard work, Amber is able to read Anna's book about the princess spinning gold. Anna then has the notion to teach Amber how to write; however, the road is finished and Anna and her family go home. Amber decides to continue learning on her own.
