We used it 2 yrs ago, so, as far as I recall: I believe it is definitely “Creation” centered, (as in “God created this beautiful world”) but I don’t remember it being Christ focused. We are Christian, but not “mainstream Christian”, so we have trained our children to recognize and bring to us any questions about doctrine disagreement they find in their school books. I’d guess you have to do the same. They’ll have to learn to discern things this way as they mature and move into the adult world too.
The science lab kit provides the equipment and supplies you need for the labs in the course. You can choose whether or not you do the labs. There is also a DVD that provides videos of the labs - #008548 - http://www.rainbowresource.com/proddtl.php?id=008548.
The length of the lesson is up to you. Work with a student to determine how many pages a day should be accomplished. Remember that life Lifepacs were designed to be self-paced and lead students into more independent learning and goal setting.
We used this curriculum last year and my child and I both liked it.
my son loves these sets
Looks like a good solid physical science course for my daughter. Her first time to use the lifepacs, I think she will like them. My others have.
We are trying these life pacs because the format seems easy to work with, especially for an independent learner.
