Easy Grammar Plus Workbook
Easy Grammar Overview from Rainbow Resource on Vimeo.
Mastery of basic grammar facts. Independent student work. Lots of review and practice. That's what Easy Grammar provides. It's convenient and takes no teacher prep time. The general idea is to introduce grammar gently to young students (Easy Grammar Daily Guided Teaching, grades 1-2). The middle school years (grades 3-7) focus on systematic instruction and provide lots of practice to master the basics as well as daily review. The secondary years (Easy Grammar Ultimate, grades 8-12) continue daily review, coupled with some advanced instruction. The courses vary in structure at different grade levels. Grades 3-6 are similar in structure but grade-level appropriate. Easy Grammar Plus is a course that can be used either in 7th grade or as a complete grammar review for older students. Daily Grams, available for grades 3-7, supplements and complements the EG series by providing daily review.
Each grade level Teacher Edition provides bite-size lessons, student practice and assessment pages, and those same pages with answers filled in. Both the practice pages and the tests are reproducible for families. Student Workbooks include lesson and practice pages. Test Books (available for Grades 3 and up) provide pre and post tests as well as sectional tests. Grade level Sets include the Teacher Edition, Student Book and Test Book (if available for that level).

My student was only grasping minimal grammar. He was about to start high school and that means crunch time. I bought GP as a last resort, and I'm so glad I did.
I bought the workbook and the big teacher book that has one page of answers, and the next page of the student book. (copy pages?) I like having both so we can go over it together when he isn't comprehending something. I see the answers and his page while he can keep his workbook.
Personally, I can't tell you what is different about this book and how it works when others didn't. All that matters is that it is working and even better, it's now becoming fun.
The student workbook does not include answers, but the Teacher Guide includes the student workbook pages as well as the answers and you are allowed to reproduce the pages from the Teacher Guide for your homeschooled student. Hope this helps!
No, Eatsy Grammar does not teach diagramming sentences, HOWEVER, this curriculum series does an AWESOME job of teaching mechanics and grammar. I only wish I had found out about it sooner! I don't know anyone who would not LOVE using the Easy Grammar series for their Language Arts curriculum. It's well done, very affordable and highly effective....I give it 2 thumbs up!!!
Easy Grammar Plus workbook does not have the answers or teaching prompts. It has a few instructional pages and lists scattered through the lessons for the student to reference. I never used the teacher's manual because I am strong in grammar skills and it was just as easy to read through the student's answers on my own. However, if you need or would prefer to have the answer key and/or prepared lesson notes, you will need a teacher manual.
Yes, it is a good addition to English 1 for students who need a little more help. It explains things more than the Ultimate Series as that is mostly for review from my experience. Hope this helps!
The curriculum is broken into grammar topics, so you decide how many pages to complete each day, and each day may be different. On average, my kids spend 10-15 minutes a day in a typical 180-day year doing grammar 4 days a week.
After Easy Grammar 6, Easy Grammar Plus is next in sequence. I use it for 7th grade with my students. After Plus, the Easy Grammar books for 8th grade & up change format (less teaching, just single-page daily review exercises.)
The student workbook does not contain answers. If you want the answers, buy the teacher's version which contains both the student pages and answers together. I purchased both the teacher's version and the student workbook. If you purchase only the teacher's version, but you have to copy each page for the student.
recommended by seasoned homeschool moms who have gone before me. :)
Need grammar instruction to be used with multiple middle and High schoolers
I have used Easy Grammar books for 7 students to date, and all but 1 have done super well in grammar and are totally ready for grammar in college writing classes.
Youngest child needed a workbook as we already had teacher edition
