Description
Experience and explore the wild beauty that awaits you on a nature trail while stopping to take pictures, do some birdwatching, while appreciating the uniqueness of the leaves, acorns and even the rocks that you encounter. Enjoy this day collecting resources and earning nature badges as the sun moves from the east and finally sets in the west at which time our hike is over.
The goal of this game is to earn the most points by earning badges which provide points, bird sightings, resources and game point multipliers. In addition, taking pictures, add to point values and bird sightings. Balancing each turn with opportunities to gain resources towards badges and knowing whether to linger on the trail or move ahead quicker to grab badges first is a strategic challenge.
Once the sun sets, points are awarded to the player with the most bird sightings, as well as total points for badges earned and pictures taken. The person with the most points wins!
Trails is a less complex but quicker game than its parent – Parks Game. With the smaller ruleset and box size, it packs a streamlined way to find some fun in an easy-to-pack and go package. For 2-4 players with a 20 to 40-minute game time. Although I am an avid Parks fan, there is also a nice place for this game in my collection. ~Marsha
