There are 36 lessons in this workbook. Each list has 20 words written in cursive. Each lesson starts with an engaging and informative reading selection that illustrates the spelling words in context. Spelling tips follow and offer strategies and clues for learning the words. Spelling practice pages give students an opportunity to practice writing new words while reinforcing the spelling pattern. The activity pages give students the chance to practice words in different contexts. Five additional bonus words are given at the end of each lesson, more challenging words with similar spelling patterns. These words are not tested. Lessons 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 are review lessons, covering materials from the lessons prior. The end of the student book includes a comprehensive dictionary of all the words used in this level, plus the bonus words. 192 pgs, pb.
