Each "Teacher Text" contains 180 reviews covering capitalization, punctuation, parts of speech (general review) and sentence combining. [May I just mention that daily sentence combining practice is one of the most compelling reasons to use this program. This practice develops strong compound and complex sentence construction skills, which is one of the most necessary components for effective and elegant written communication.]
Publisher's Description of Daily Grams Grade 6 Teacher Edition
Contains reproducible pages within the text (answers in the back).
What's the difference between Easy Grammar and Daily Grams? Covering grammatical concepts with engaging simplicity, these two programs are companions and complementary but serve different purposes. While Easy Grammar provides a systematic presentation of concepts, Daily Grams provides - you guessed it - daily practice. They are each stand-alone programs, and Daily Grams can easily be used with other grammar programs or independently. Using them at the same time would be a bit of overkill; as you would be adding further practice to an already very complete course. However, in periods where the student is doing quite a bit of writing or if you want to follow a year of intensive grammar with a lighter year, Daily Grams are a good way to keep grammar skills sharp without bogging students down with too much English.

[May I just mention that daily sentence combining practice is one of the most compelling reasons to use this program. This practice develops strong compound and complex sentence construction skills, which is one of the most necessary components for effective and elegant written communication.] Each Daily Grams review page only takes about 10 minutes a day, but what a valuable ten minutes - keeping grammar skills sharp and developing sentence writing competence. The books are reproducible and contain student pages and answers (in the back) while the student workbooks contain only the student pages (no answers) and are not reproducible. If you are planning on using a level with more than one student, the workbooks offer you a time-saving option at a reasonable cost.
This is one of my favorites, daily reinforcement of grammar is important at one day at a time

Good Daily Review of English Concepts
The daily punctuation, capitalization, parts of speech, sentence combining and writing, and other English concepts are good drills that take only a few minutes each day to keep these things fresh in the student's mind.

Couldn't manage without our daily grams
Love Daily grams! Kids are classically educated and I use Daily grams to identify weaknesses and better prepare my kids for the end of year assessments like SAT. It is so easy and useful just to do a page a day-we can easily fit it into our curriculum. Covers a wide range of topics from vocabulary, analogies, punctuation, and grammar. I cherish the day I found out about Daily grams.

I have been using these for several years. We love them. Quick and easy. Worth it for the sentence combining alone if you use it for nothing else!

My daughter has completed 3 years of Fix It grammar. Would the Grade 6 level of Daily Grams be appropriate for her?
Kendra H
Depends on her grade level and how well she understood all the concepts in the three years of Fix Its. Also, will you be using them daily so that you can complete the book in one year? If it will take longer than one year to complete, I suggest starting one level up. The beginning of each DG book is review. Starting with the grade 6 level of Daily Gram, there is a bit less explanation of concepts, but she probably doesn't need a lot of explanation if she really absorbed the content in the Fixits. I love both Daily Grams and Fixits. With Daily Grams, I task the student to do a couple of pages on her own. Then I review the pages and, for any errors, conduct a mini grammar lesson on the spot and make a reference page on that topic for her binder on that subject. I used Daily Grams with my two daughters when we homeschooled. Now that my girls are grown, I tutor nine kids at various grade levels. I use both DG and Fixits with my students grades 3 and up. If you look at the Easy Grammar website, you can print about 4 sample pages from any level of Daily Gram. The sample pages are spread through the book, so you can get an idea of the level. I usually examine these sample pages on the Easy Grammar site, and then come back to Rainbow to order because their prices are better!

Are the student pages perforated?
The student pages are not perforated in this teacher's edition of Daily Grams. They are perforated in the Student Workbook:
