Description

If you need some help getting organized, but want more flexibility than a standard lesson-plan book provides, read on! This journal combines lesson planner with other helpful forms uniquely suited to homeschooling. Intended as a permanent record, the spiral-bound volume can be filed away with your children's work as a lasting reference to your school year. The first few pages contain helpful instructions for use and 2-year calendar to aid in planning. A "Linear Schedule of Home Schooling Events" - your year-at-a-glance summary of school-related activities - is followed by a page of yearly requirements like dental exams, test dates, home schooling conventions, etc. A two-sided page for recording by-subject test scores follows. The next several pages are devoted to recording information pertinent to planning field trips, including goals for learning. The heart of the organizer is a generous 200-day daily subject log. Recording boxes are ample and each page helpfully includes a lined, wide "NOTES:" column which allows for detailed recording of particulars on field trips, special activities, journal entries, whatever. At the end of the planner are 13 full pages of library list forms, allowing you to keep a record of books read or books that you hope to locate for use in unit studies. Reasonably priced, this journal could be a wonderful investment in tracking and organizing your school year.

Love this record keeping book!
I really like this homeschooling journal. Every year I use one like this (I buy a different color for each year). I enjoy keeping up with field trips, attendance, subjects, etc. I have tried a few other journals but I haven’t found one that I like as much as this one! The shipping was a little slow. It took 1 week to leave their facility and arrive at my house. That’s not too bad - I guess I’ve just gotten spoiled with Amazon’s 2 day shipping. Love this record book! There’s plenty of room to write in which is one reason I like this book so much.

I've bought this every year for 16 years.
This journal has been perfect for keeping track of schooling for 5 children. The boxes are flexible so you can adjust dates to ones you need without skipping pages. You can use the daily boxes for keeping track of each student individually or keeping track of each subject and what each student does in each subject. I have done both ways and it works well either way.
It's been perfect for helping me keep track of what we've accomplished.

Favorite Planner
Truly, this is my favorite planner. 10 years of homeschooling, tried to change last year, didn't use one the year before. I'm coming back home to my favorite planner.

This planner is just perfect. It has plenty of room to keep track of each child's work, there is room in the back for book lists and plenty of room for notes from week to week. I've rejected every other planner I've looked at because none of them are as flexible as this one.

LOVE this product Have used it since my oldest was in Pre-K and he graduated last year! I can keep track of all four of my students in every subject Very flexible since nothing is pre-written You can record by subject or by student or mix the two as I did Love the "Notes" section where I jot down what we did and what life events happened that week -- my joys and my frustrations What a tremendous record to look back on and reminisce!

Why did you choose this?

Nice to find a planner with all five days blank especially since we do our schooling Tuesday through Saturday. Many of the other planners make the weekend spots tiny.

My favorite record keeper and schedule all in one! I've tried several others, but this is the best!! It has room for book lists, internet sites, library resources, lending lists, grades, field trips,…

My daughter loves this for a record of highschool work .

Straight forward. No fluff. We do school on Saturday's, so with this journal I don't need to be crossing out Monday's every time. I hope it will work well.

would i need one for each child?

You could use it for two children by color coding it.Like Black for things they do together blue for one child green for another child. In the back for library list there are enough pages for more than one child. This is how I am doing it for two children.

Can you tell me what colors are available?

These journals are available in red, blue, green, and yellow. If you order a single copy, we'll choose the color. If you order more than one, we'll assort the colors as much as we are able.
