Okay, I confess that I normally only use black warriors, but my son just had to have a smencil. While the price seemed a little steep for one pencil, I am so glad I bought it! We have been using the grape smencil since we started our school year in August and it is still going strong. It sharpens like a dream and still has the grape scent. It actually sharpens better than the black warriors! I have bought one for myself and will definitely replace my son's when it is gone! He puts his smencil in his school box when his work is done, so he has yet to lose it! Oh yeah, I almost forgot one really cool part...it is made from recycled newspaper so it is better for the environment! I hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours! Add a cap eraser to save the eraser on the smencil!
