I purchased my first Kumon book last year for my then two year old son. He really wanted to participate when I was doing school work with my two older children.I have purchased several of the Kumon books and even bought the maze book twice because my son finished one. My son has very good fine motor skills so the mazes and tracing books have been fun practice for him. However if you have a preschooler with little or no writing experiece Kumon bookS would be an excellent place to begin. I plan to purchase the next level maze book, the number book and letter book soon. I am sure that I will be purchasing some of the books twice because he likes to work on his books so much! The books are very sturdy and the paper is heavy duty. The pictures are nice and not inapproptiate for young ones.

I love the First Book of Cutting! My son loves to do all the cutting activities in it. It is brightly colored and he enjoys looking at the pictures. It is really improving his cutting skills. I plan on purchasing many more books by Kumon. Out of all the workbooks I have purchased, and I have purchased a lot, Kumon is at the top of the list. I highly recommend them.

I purchased these workbooks for my 4-year-old son who wanted to do school like his older sister. He loves the Kumon workbooks!! They gradually build on previous skills and get progressively more advanced. He is so excited when he completes a workbook and gets his certificate. Each workbook clearly states an approximate age range which is helping in knowing which books may be appropriate for your child. Also, on the back cover there is a diagram to show which workbooks correlate to progression of skills. Although probably a bit more pricey than other Pre-K workbooks out there, I would definitely recommend these to other parents looking for high-quality, engaging workbooks.
