Designed to aid teachers who are using the nine units of the IEW writing syllabus, these documents cover events in American history from the Vikings through the Civil Rights Movement grouped according to a corresponding IEW unit. The 32 original source texts were collected by Linda Thornhill (author of the Trisms history curriculum) and can be used in grades 5+. In addition to the texts themselves, there are tie-ins to various historical periods, original pictures, references to original sources and an extensive bibliography. In PDF format, the texts can be printed in any quantity for the purchaser’s group, classroom, or homeschool use.
