This collection of mini-mysteries put readers in the detective's shoes! With these mysteries, the reader gets to do more than "chase" the fictional character and try to figure out what they already know; in these mysteries, the reader is allowed access to a variety of clues, and pieces them together to solve the mystery at their own pace! 15 mini-mysteries are included, each involving thefts, murders, and other dastardly deeds. Each is about two pages long, with a series of "whodunit and how" questions at the end for the reader to figure out. Following the questions is a series of evidence clues, from a variety of sources. These include clues that can be found from the fictional autopsy reports, search reports, crime scene reports, research, affidavit reports, lab and hospital reports, and wills/insurance records. A short list of which documents hold clues related to the mystery is appended at the end of each mystery. The reader will have to look up the clues in several different sections at the end of the book to piece together the puzzle. Although a kind of "par" number of clues needed to solve each mystery are listed at the end of each mystery there's no harm in using more, some clues are simply more helpful than others. A nice follow-up to some of the more straight-forward mini-mystery books. - Jess
