Great for common core requirements
These are used in my son's first grade class in public school. We are homeschooling this year and I want him to learn the same thing (common core) as his classmates so he will be ready for second grade.

Why did you choose this?

I chose this because I've used the 2nd grade material for an older child and wanted to try using it with my younger child

Studying to be a K-2 teacher.

This is the math curriculum that our school uses and since I plan to homeschool temporarily, I decided to stick with it.

I know this is the math curriculum they would be doing in school so I like that I can get it for homeschool.

If I purchase this, can I get more than one copy of student editions with just one teacher's addition? I'm considering purchasing for a homeschool "pod" and will have 5-8 students and 1 teacher. How would I go about that type of purchase?

Does this program meet or exceed common core standards?

Yes, the Go Math! program is aligned to CCSS.

Is this an exhaustive math curricula? What are some strengths and weaknesses? Thanks for your help

Does this program use a lot of group activities like Math in Focus grade k which is directed for a classroom setting or is it directed for one child?

This is definitely a classroom program and there are some classroom project types of activities but there is also a variety of activities, some of which can be adapted to one-to-one setting and some of which are more independent (such as the QR code - watching).

which one will you choose Go math or math mammoth? can you tell me the difference between the two?

I purchased the Math Mammoth series for my granddaughters. I am a certified Eleemntary and Special Education teacher. I left public school and now help with homeschool. The series is excellent in my opinion. The visuals and directions are easy for the student to understand. It is rigorous and complete.

Do you get access to think central with this program?

You can access go math online by googling it. I bought go math student book used and dont have the teacher edition. My daughter watches go math on the spot video lesson online everyday.
It wont let me post the link.
