Kids sit and read this in their free time!
We love this series. My children will actually sit on the couch and read the guide books in their spare time. We love the challenge, the variety of problems, and the joy of the mathematics as it's presented. I am a former math teacher and math major, so this is rigorous and delightful. I am using grade "3" for my third and fifth grader...it is much harder than normal curriculum. Some of the problems are even a little challenge for me and my engineer husband...they really teach you to think.

Fun and interesting
I bought this as a supplement for my gifted third grader who wants extra challenges at home. He really enjoys it, and I like the creative thinking involved in the problems. Even his older brother, who is in 9th grade, has found it interesting and has done some of the problems with him.

Glad we made the switch
I'm so glad we took the placement test first and ordered the level "below" his current grade level. Switched from Teaching Textbooks 6 and this requires so much more actual thinking, and it's fairly entertaining. A month in and no arguing about math-
that's really saying something around here.

Such a fun way to learn math
My daughter carries this book around the house, to the car, inside stores, etc... She LOVES doing it, and spends at least an hour most days reading, re-reading, erasing answers so she can re-work the problems, printing additional sheets from the website (games!), and loves working on this with adults as well. (Most of whom are most impressed with this curriculum!) I'm so glad we've finally landed on an engaging, exciting, fun, and challenging maths curriculum. After a week of working in 3A, we ordered the rest of the third grade set!

Good fit for my daughter
My daughter hates math but loves the comic book format and the characters. Beast Academy does require a little supplementation since we have not studied any type of geometry. The material is given in small doses so she is usually not overwhelmed. The accompanying math practice book is a good match.

1 Question
Why did you choose this?

Had good reviews and seemed like a fun way to learn math.

Math enrichment/ Challenging

It teaches math in a different way. The way mathy people probably think.

Hoping this will engage my reluctant math student. He loves graphic novels!
